The wind blows a breeze of lightness through the air.
Fragrant and perfumed, the scent of cotton permeates.
I lay on a bed of grass and smile without a care.
I lay surrounded by the dozens of blooms Mother Nature does create.
Off to my side, I find a trickling stream filled with cool water.
I dip my hands in, cupped and filled to the brim.
Drinking in deep, I feel the quench the taste of life does foster.
I lean back to rest, basking in the satisfaction of this whim.
I look to you, and I think of how fresh the air you bring can be.
In light of you, I reflect upon the love and kindness life can share.
I think of how the goodness of your heart extends to me.
In your company, difficult times can grow less burdensome to bear.
Your gentle ways reflect the true nature of your soul.
When touched by your softness, diamond comes from my coal.
